I am working as a Senior Scientist at Philips Research Europe, Eindhoven, Netherlands since 2006 in the Information and System Security (ISS) Group. Presently my research focus is in the area of Digital Identity Management for consumer lifestyle applications. Emphasis is on trust and reputation management technologies which enables trustworthy transaction decisions. At Philips Research, I have also researched on Intellectual Property (IP) protection and anti-counterfeiting technologies for electronic devices using Physcially Unclonable Functions (PUF). Technologies were developed for FPGAs to bind the programming code to each individual hardware chip to prevent cloning of the device. Also closely assisted the PUF related business initiative Intrinsic-ID within Philips. I have previously worked extensively in the area of applied data security in embedded systems. I received my Ph.D. (Dr.-Ing.) from Ruhr-University of Bochum (HGI, eurobits) in the area of applied data security in 2006. My main research area has been in Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) for constrained devices. I have also worked extensively on other areas of cryptography including efficient software and hardware implementations. I completed both my Bachelor of Technology (B’ Tech) and Master of Technology (M’ Tech) in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology—Bombay, India in 2002. A detailed list of my projects, work experience and research publications can be found in my Curriculum Vitae |
